So I'm back. This time to share some of the Frozen fun {and magic} that took place on Maggie's big day.
Happy 5th Birthday my princess. I just adore you!
After completing the couple craft activities we had set up, all of our guests sat patiently anticipating the arrival of Elsa and Anna. None more than me. Those sweet princesses were nearly 15 minutes late. It threw my party schedule off just a bit. Laugh if you must, but 15 minutes with 20 four and five year olds is a loooong time.
All I can say is thank goodness for the trampoline and playset {which I had no intentions of using during my party planning}.
But, once they did arrive, after their long journey from Arendelle {I'm assuming that was the hold up}, it was all worth the wait.
Just look at that face...
Elsa and Anna wasted no time in crowing both Maggie and Lucy with tiaras. The birthday girl was speechless.
And what would a Frozen party be without a round of "Let It Go"? This might possibly be my favorite moment of the party. Elsa and Anna led the guests in a sing-a-long {with dance moves and all}. Pure preciousness!
With my itinerary a bit off kilter, we decided to go ahead and open up the Frozen buffet while the guests waited to have their faces painted by the Princesses. Maggie and Lucy had the honors of going first. Of course, Lu wanted Anna to paint her face {and carry her everywhere, and hold her hand, and eat lunch with her and....}.
And Maggie would have none other than Queen Elsa, just as the birthday girl should.
I didn't think it was possible for Maggie to look anymore beautiful that day. And here comes Elsa working her magic. My birthday girl was just beaming.
While faces were painted, lunch was served. Many of the guests headed out to picnic in the sunshine. It really turned into a beautiful November day.
And in case you are wondering, yes, Jack was {reluctantly} there. He did his best to grin and bear all of the princess action and I couldn't be more proud of him for putting up with all this "girl stuff".
We were able to catch some active Jack sightings come lunch time.
After a birthday lunch fit for a princess, Elsa and Anna took all the guests out to the lawn for birthday magic and games.
Maggie was front and center and honored as the most special guest. She got first turns on everything and even got to hold Elsa's magic wand.
And just when things couldn't get any better for Maggie, she was nuzzled in by royalty. Elsa and Anna led the guests in a very special birthday song and wish for the birthday girl before their departure. It was such a magical moment to watch her turn 5 right before my very eyes.
She truly is my princess!
Maggie's special day was celebrated with two enchanting princesses, but the most important guests weren't royalty at all. We loved having all of Maggie's classmates and friends {we didn't even have one regret!} And most of all we adored having Grandma and GG with us.
It was like it was my birthday when GG announced she was going to make the drive down to celebrate Maggie's day with us. My heart was all aflutter. I adore that woman and couldn't be more honored that three generations of us ladies were there together.
I know my Maggie will see just exactly how much she is loved when she looks back at the fabulous day when my Frozen Fanatic turned Five!
