My Maggie is turning 11 years old. Seriously, how did this happen? My little pink cheeked princess is now in the midst of tweenhood. My, My how I miss my little velcro baby.
An although she is growing up, Maggie is still sweet to the core, still velcro-ey given the day, and still my princess {with a dash of spice and a dollop of drama}. I couldn't love her anymore if I tried.
You surely know how important it is to me to celebrate the day my littles entered the world. And even in the midst of a pandemic, it's still important to me, maybe even more so. So I happily honored Maggie's request for a "Neon Sleepover". {and note to self...I can check the box on tween girl sleepover...this was a one and done...shew, that was exhausting}
Luckily for Maggie, after the most recent construction project we decided to replace and move some furniture. And by "we" I mean me. And the reason this is lucky for Mags, is the basement furniture hasn't come in yet and that left a wide open space for slumber party fun.
Okay get ready for some amazing neon cuteness...
Each girl got to sleep in her very own personal tent. The tents, pillows, mattresses, bedding, and trays were all rented and set up by Sleepover & Co. They were amazing and I 100% recommend their services. I filled the room with balloons and decorated every open wall. It looked great with the black lights. Yes, I am now the proud owner of four bar black lights in case you have a need.
Per Maggie's request, each girl got a neon shirt and black joggers. I was not permitted to buy cute pjs because "OMG Mom, that is so embarrassing". I also filled up that cute splatter cosmetic bag with neon nail polish, neon face masks, neon lipstick, scrunchies, and a sleep mask. The girls had a lot of fun with the goodies inside.
For dinner, Maggie wanted MOD pizza and I just found out, they deliver. Easy! I also had about a bazillion snacks and a candy bar set up for the girls. And they blew through it all!
Outside on the back back patio I had a few super fun neon crafts set up for the girls. Sadly, it was a whirlwind once the 10 GIRLS arrived and I never got any pictures. But they had a table for neon tie-dye, neon slime, and a cool neon electric art board {similar to string art}.
Oooh, I actually did get one picture. I went to Lowes and had all those boards cut, painted them black, and nailed the nails. The girls were left with the stringing and flipping the switch to watch them glow! I think it was a pretty cool take away.

I also managed to get a few birthday cake pictures and in the madness I'm telling you that almost didn't even happen. But again Maggie's request was granted and her cake was exactly what she asked for thanks to my favorite cake lady. We were both pretty giddy when we picked it up.
At some point I had to get at least one picture of Maggie. I'm so happy I pulled her away from the fun to get this one of her. Just look at that smile!
After this picture, it was pretty much one big party. To sum it up there was a lot of beautifying, karaoke, dancing, and a final bedtime of 5:00am! The girls were passed out at 10:00 am when the parents came to get them the next morning. I swear we tried, short of knocking them all out and dragging them in feet first to their tents. 10 tween girls and sleep don't mix.
Thankfully, we all had one full day to clean up and recuperate before Maggie's actual birth date.
Good Morning Mags! It's November 9th and you are for realz 11 years old!!!
Maggie woke up to a birthday breakfast and her sibling gifts. Problem with your birth date falling on a school day is you have to wait...school first little one.
Post school the celebrating began. Sibling gifts and Maggie's choice of dinner. Wait for it...
Yep, Cheesecake Factory. I can't say I'm a big fan of chain restaurants or that I have ever even been to a CF, but it was guiltily surprisingly delish.
And yes, we took pictures in front to celebrate...ha! All for the birthday girl. 💓
Happy Birthday to our precious Maggie! Eleven years ago you made me a girl mommy and what a girl you are. You are full of the most precious cuddles, the sweetest laugh, and the biggest heart. To my pet lovin', dance lovin', and all things trendy lovin' girl...we love and adore you Mags!
