Needless to say we know how to celebrate around here. Well, like any people do with three underage kiddos.
Yet, somehow our New Year's Eve tradition beats any that I've had in the past. Funny {and absolutely wonderful} what kids will do to you.
We held our annual s'mores and firework shooting night in the backyard. It was freeeeezing this year! The kids were troopers and held on until midnight {or so they think}. Thanks to Netflix and the Madagascar countdown....brilliant!
Even littlest Lu held on for a while. She didn't quite make it to the countdown, but she was up a whole 40 minutes past her usual bedtime.
And even more surprisingly she gave the sparklers a try. Something she has decided to forgo in the past {i.e. July 4th}.
Even after persistent requests, Maggie did not want to wear her coat. Only for fear it would cover up her accessorized jammies. She picked it all out from the flower to the tutu to the pink sparkly shoes. The New Year's Eve fashionista award goes to none other than our very own Maggie Pie Cibula.
We are welcoming 2015 with an open heart and praying it brings another year of health, happiness and lots of love. Wishing the same your way! Happy New Year!
