My Pumpkins Carving

What a beautiful Fall day to hang out in the front yard carving pumpkins with my  very own pumpkins.  If I remember correctly its rained the past few years and we've had to set up on the back yard covered porch.  Not today, it was glorious outside!

And do know what is even more glorious?...the girls can pretty much carve all by themselves! 

We used our pumpkins from the past weekend at the maze.  These guys have been hangin' on the porch begging to be carved.  Wait no longer...

It's kind of incredible to think how far carving tools have actually come.  No more butcher knives from the kitchen. These kid friendly tools are a savior.

And no "oooeys" and "gooeys" from the girls this year.  They just dug right in.  As one might imagine, the squirrels had a fine time in our yard after we left.

Just look at these beauties! Can't wait to light them up tomorrow night.
