Hey Friends! Happy July! Summer please don't end! One of my favorite parts of summer is our annual family vacation. We've gotten much more adventurous as our little ones are growing up. This summer we opted for a week in the Pacific Northwest. Trees, mountains, crisp air, big cities, little cites, and lots of newbies for all of us!
We started our week in Seattle. Our plane landed, we checked into the Fairmont {one of my favorite family hotels because they almost always have a rooming option for a family f 5} and guess what? This is what the we saw out of our window. What's Seattle without rain?
So we did what any fun loving family would do and hit the indoor pool. Nothing like a pool to bring a smile to the faces of this trio.
Before we knew it the rain had stopped and made our way to to dinner for some fresh Seattle sushi. And all three of our little ones tried it! Okay, maybe Maggie just nibbled on the rice surrounding the sushi.
We spent our evening getting acquainted with the water front and then retired to our hotel. Day one was a long day of travel.
We woke up day two for a private guided tour of the city. We made some amazing stops and with a tour guide at our disposal we never got lost....big plus! We started in Pioneer Square.
Skyline view.
The Troll.
Salmon migration.
Pike Place Market {my favorite!}
The Gum Wall {my kid's favorite!}
The first Starbucks and Lucy's first visit to one!
Seattle's Great Wheel.
We had a half a day in Seattle on day 3 so we hit a few more must sees. Of course The Needle.
Chihuly Gardens.
And the Mo Pop Museum.
Before we knew it, it was time to board our ferry to Canada.
See you in Victoria folks!
