Meanwhile...In Utah

These boys were enjoying a different kind of Spring Break. Believe it or not, they walked {or shall I say hiked} well over the steps we put in at Disney. While we were scorching they were freezing. We got lots of pictures daily and I was completely in awe of the scenery. Lucky guys!

The hit Moab, Bryce Canyon, Arches National Park, Zion National Park and ended in Las Vegas.

Disney Darlings

With three kids in three different schools, we had to get creative with Spring Breaks this year. I told the girls we could do two long weekend get aways for each of their Spring Breaks. And we offered a week long boy's trip to Jack with Daddy.

Jack chose an amazing Southern Utah hiking trip {lucky Clay & more to come} and the girls chose Disney for the first break, and with my help, The Greenbrier in West Virginia, for the second. So far, we've knocked out the the guy's trek and the trip to Disney.

I can't lie, I really thought Disney was over and done with for my family. And I think if it weren't for the awkward Spring Break spilt this year, it would have never even come up. But, the girls argued their points which were all valid. "Jack wouldn't want to go, so let's do it when he isn't with us", "this will be our last time we will want to do this", and "it's a good long weekend trip".

So we were off to Disney.

We stayed at the new Riviera Resort and spent three full days park hopping. These girls asked for it, so we were going to make the most of our "last" Disney visit.

Our first day was spent at Magic Kingdom. We managed to get in every.single. ride. on our very long list. Wait times were tough and the heat and mask combo was a doozie. But, we made it through and spent a very relaxing evening pool side.

Highlights of our Magic Kingdom day were getting Maggie on a few roller coasters, dinner at Belle's Castle, and Lucy's quote referring to rides, "I'm more of a roller coaster girl instead of a dancing dolls kind of girl".

We spent our second full park day at Hollywood Studios. Again, lines were plentiful and the Florida sun was in full force. Regardless we had a great time and welcomed the pool to soak our weary feet at the end of the day. And every time the girls requested we head back to the hotel to swim, I delightfully reminded them that this was their vacation idea and we were going to have a "magical day".

The highlights of our Hollywood Studios day were the Rocking Rollercoaster which Lucy talked me into riding {note to self...NEVER AGAIN!}, lunch at Mama Melrose's with our waitress Jean, who had the uncanny demeanor of the sloth from Zootopia, and that Toy Story ball which provided endless entertainment in the looooong lines. Best purchase ever.

Our final park day was spent between Animal Kingdom and Epcot. We were pretty spent by the third day of parks. But the sky was a perfect overcast and the parks were nearly empty. Score for our last day!

The highlights of our last day were most definitely the weather, finding the perfect backpack for Baby Yoda {which took much longer than you could possibly imagine}, and shopping in Japan at Epcot. Everything kind of chotski a girl could wish for.

Check. My Disney Darlings got their wish. We walked away with lots of great memories and pictures to from the weekend.

Not to mention, one more infamous quote, "Mommy, next vacation, will you plan one like you normally do?". Hmmm...can I insert "I told you so, here"?

Shelton Dude Turns 3!

Happy Birthday Shelton! You are genuinely the gentlest, snuggliest, sweetest pup I have ever known. We can't imagine life without your food stealing, puddle jumping, and bed hogging self.

We are so happy you are part of our family. 💙

To many more walks and swims at the river! We love you! Make a Wish!
